January 29th : Snowdown Balloon Train
Ride through the beautiful Animas Valley to see this spectacular event, featuring a beautiful display of colorful hot air balloons ascending in the early morning frost. Enjoy complimentary donuts, coffee, and champagne while watching the balloons rise from the warmth of the train! Departs Durango at 8:00 a.m. To make reservations, call 1-800-717-0108

February 14th: Romance on the Rails, Valentine's Day Train
A romantic night onboard the D&SNGRR's first-class vintage coaches. Fare includes hors d'ouevres, dessert, live, music, chocolates, and a rose for the ladies. Departs 6pm, returns 10:15pm. $119 per person.

February 19th: Winter Photo Special
Special winter train with photo run-by's. Very Limited seating.
Engine: TBD. Departs Durango at 8:00 a.m. returning around dusk. Complimentary coffee and donuts in the morning. Fare is $89.00 and $135 for caboose. Reservations can be made by phone at 1-800-717-0108

BBQ & entertainment in front of depot 11AM-2PM

May 6th: Silverton Salutations
Opening day of Silverton service

May 27th: Annual Iron Horse Bicycle Classic
Bicyclists race the train to Silverton

June 8 - 11: Step Back in Time Festival
A celebration of the "Boom Town" glory of Silverton. For information call 1-970-387-5522.

June 16 - 19: Day Out With Thomas Event
Excursions with the loveable little blue engine, plus a great deal more. Call 888-872-4607 for details.

July 4th: Independance Day Express
Ride the train to Silverton for a day of fun and festivities and return to Durango after the fireworks.

August 21-26: Narrow Gauge Convention

August 23-27: 8th Annual Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge RAILFEST

Enjoy hot cocoa with Santa upon the train's return from Cascade Canyon

Enjoy a festive evening excursion onboard a turn-of-the-century train. Entertainment, hors d'ouevres and a cash bar. Victorian attire suggested.

Travel a century-old rail line from Durango Colorado to the historic gold mining town of Silverton over the most scenic narrow gauge railroad in North America. Daily departures from May 3rd through October 31st. Reservations are REQUIRED!
