Denali and Interior - McKinley Explorer Fairbanks - 2008
6 days / 5 nights

Between Anchorage and Fairbanks stands majestic Mt. McKinley. Still called Denali - the Great One - by Alaska natives and locals, Mt. McKinley is not only the tallest mountain in North America, it's also the most spectacular. Denali is the center point of a six-million-acre wilderness that boasts some of the most unspoiled, untamed country in the world. In addition to the Great One, the Park features glaciers, a sub-arctic ecosystem and an internationally designated biosphere preserve with moose, caribou, Dall sheep, grizzly bears and wolves. This 6 day/5 night itinerary includes a memorable train journey, the three-hour Natural History Tour into Denali National Park and your choice of optional adventures.
