By submitting this reservation request, you will be bound by the Terms and Conditions of The Durango & Silverton Railroad and that of RailsNW.

Reservations: While every effort will be made to book the train, departure time, type of seating, and/or bus arrangements as requested, we reserve the right to book alternate space as needed. If your departure choices are full, we will attempt to book you on another train that same day. If nothing is available that day, we will notify you of available options by email or phone. Final price includes all applicable taxes and fees.

Premium Car Services: The Parlor, Vista, and Presidential cars have an extremely limited number of seats and generally sell out months before the actual departure. For that reason, we will automatically book you into Coach or Outdoor seating should Premium car space not be available for your travel date.

Children: Kids under 4 can travel for free without occupying a seat. However, we highly recommend booking a seat for anyone older than 2.

Change and Cancel Policy: Changes made to reservations such as date, time, or type of seating are subject to a fee of $16.00 per ticket. Changes to existing reservations must be made 14 days prior to original trip date. Refunds/Cancellations are subject to a fee of 25% ($35 minimum per person) if cancelled 14 days before your reserved date. There are no refunds or credits issued on reservations canceled within 14 days of your scheduled trip or after original trip date.

Seat Assignments: Please note that every seat on the train is assigned. Requests cannot be guaranteed but we will make every effort to fulfill your request. We may need to reseat passengers due to substitution of equipment or other reason. Please be aware that the seats you requested are assigned to you for the duration of your trip, and we ask that you maintain those seats and do not move into other cars without first checking with the Conductor. All outdoor cars (Gondola, Rio Grande, and Silver Vista) are subject to inclement seasonal weather and seating changes are subject to the above fees.

Accessibility:
We have a wheelchair lift and accessible coach on our 8:15 train only. Please advise us that you use a wheelchair or require assistance.

Tickets and Boarding: You will receive an electronic confirmation including a boarding pass so that you may go directly to your train.  Final boarding opportunity is Durango is 30 minutes prior to departure time. Unoccupied seats at the final boarding announcement can be considered a “no-show” and may be sold to waiting stand-by passengers.

Delays:
While every effort is made to maintain our schedules, mechanical and/or weather conditions may cause delays. The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad will not be held liable for any delays, whatever the cause. Our trips go rain or shine, there will be no refunds due to weather.
