The Best Seats in the House
The best seat in the house as you recline into your seat, you'll be pleased to know they are styled on the seats of some of Europe's most acclaimed trains. And, unlike other transport modes, our seats can be rotated* to easily accommodate a group of four people.

First class seats* feature a reclining back which is infinitely adjustable from the upright position to a 40 degrees recline. There is a footrest for added comfort and a drop-down table. The table may be attached to the wall. The armrests may be folded upwards.

*All seats in car 'A' do not recline or rotate and a number are backward facing.

The economy class seats recline from the upright position to 28 degrees. Each seat has a footrest and a drop-down table on the seat back. For seats without another seat in front, a table may be attached to the wall. The armrests may be folded upwards out of the way if desired.

The sleeping car is only available for nighttime use on the Sydney - Melbourne, Melbourne - Sydney, Sydney - Brisbane, and Brisbane - Sydney routes. There is one sleeping car per train, providing accommodation for 18 passengers in twinette-style compartments.

Private shower and toilet facilities are located between each compartment. Towels and bed linen are provided and any extra items (eg pillows, blankets) are available on request. There are luggage shelves in each compartment and small items may be stowed under the seat. A small cabinet is also provided to hang your clothing. Each compartment is equipped with portable tray tables, a mirror and a power outlet suitable for the use of a 240 volt electric shaver only. It is fitted with main lights, reading lights and night lights, a rubbish receptacle and Passenger Attendant call button. When set up for daytime use, the car has 27 seats, three in each compartment.
