Detailed day by day information
May 13 Sunday (D)
Individual arrivals in Berlin. Our tour guides, Bernd Vollmer and Dale Brown will meet the group at Tegel Airport (TXL) at 1:00pm and one central downtown location, to start the city tour and railroad points of interest including the transportation museum and a number of train stations. Late afternoon our group will board our own private charter steam boat for a cruse on the Berlin canal system taking a route where we can see the many passenger trains running along the shore. This will be a dinner cruise. At the end of our cruise we will then transfer to the train station to catch the overnight train departing at 9:22pm for Poland. Everyone will be in first class sleepers. We have bought all 48 beds in the sleeping car. Group size including our two guides will be 48 persons.

May 14 Monday (B-L-D)
We arrive in Krakow, Poland at 8:56AM. Breakfast on the dining car before we detrain. You can then enjoy the train action at the station for the next couple of hours until we depart onboard a local train departing at 10:54AM and arriving in Chabowka at 12:59pm. Upon our arrival we visit the Chabowka workshops and running shed before boarding our charter train with steam locomotive OKz32 for a run to Tymbark and return. Overnight lodging in Chabowka. We also are offering a special sightseeing option today at Krakow. For those folks wanting this option you will start a full day Krakow city tour that will include a number of points of interest including a visit to the Wawel Castle and Auschwitz-Birkenau Camp. Late afternoon this group will board another local train at Krakow for the two hour ride to Chabowka to join up with the main tour group.

May 15 Tuesday (B-L-D)
Today we ride a mixed train consist again pulled by OKz32 to Nowy Sacz and return. In the evening we will have a night time workshop photo session. For those railfans that are interested you will have the option to run a steam locomotive while we are in Chabowka today and tomorrow. Overnight in Chabowka.

May 16 Wednesday (B-L)
Morning charter train pulled by locomotive Tr12 from Chabowka to Dobra and return. Then we will have an afternoon charter pulled by locomotive TKh49 from Chabowka to Rabka Zdroj and return. It is time to move on as we catch the express train departing back to Krakow at 4:47pm arriving in Krakow at 6:55pm. Transfer to our hotel.

May 17 Thursday (B-L)
Depart from Krakow by train at 8:45am and arrive in Leszno at 2:49pm. Depart Leszno at 3:35pm pulled by steam arriving in Wolsztyn at 4:44pm. In the afternoon we will go trackside and follow the regular scheduled train coming in from Pozan, with steam. Overnight lodging in Wolsztyn.

May 18 Friday (B-D)
Morning charter train with locomotive Tr5 from Wolsztyn and running to Kargow and return. In the late afternoon and into the early evening we have another charter train with locomotive Pm36 to Wloszakowice and return including a night photo session. While in the Wolszty area we are planning to have a doubleheader on one of our charter trains. Overnight lodging again in Wolsztyn.

May 19 Saturday (B-L)
Morning departure on a regular scheduled train pulled by steam from Wolsztyn to Leszno. Here we transfer to a narrow gauge charter train pulled by locomotive Px48 for a run Leszno to Stare Bajanowc Smigiel and return. Late afternoon we have yet another charter steam train running Radomierz to Wolsztyn. Overnight in the same hotel in Wolsztyn.

May 20 Sunday (B-D)
Morning charter train pulled by locomotive Ok1 from Wolsztyn to Grodzisk and return. Then in the afternoon we will chase by highway the regular scheduled steam train running from Pozan to Wolsztyn. Overnight in Wolsztyn.

May 21 Monday (B-L)
Morning departure from Woplsztyn at 8:15am on the regular train pulled by steam arriving in Leszno at 9:16am. We then depart Leszno on another regular train pulled by steam at 9:31am arriving in Gniezno at 11:08am. We then transfer by charter motorcoach to Znin where we have our charter train waiting for us pulled by locomotive Px38 including a visit to the narrow gauge railroad museum. We then return by motorcoach to Gniezno for overnight lodging.

May 22 Tuesday (B-L-D)
Morning visit to the steam repair workshops at Gniezno including the narrow gauge yards. We then have a charter narrow gauge train running out of Gniezno with a special dinning car for lunch. Once we return to Gnuiezno we then depart on a regular express train at 5:48pm and arriving in Pozan at 6:53pm. Transfer to train EC 40 departing Pozan at 7:23pm and arriving in Berlin Ostbahnhof at 10:06pm. Overnight lodging in Berlin.

May 23 Wednesday
Independant departures from the hotel and end of the tour.
