| Day 1: Moscow |
| Group flights are met at the Moscow airport and passengers transfer to a five-star hotel near Red Square for a one-night stay. Welcoming private reception in St. Basil’s Cathedral and dinner in a city restaurant. |
| Day 2: Moscow |
| A full day touring Moscow, including Red Square and the Kremlin including a private viewing of the Armory. Evening departure of the Trans-Siberian Express private train. |
| Day 3: Kazan |
| We spend the day in Kazan, the beautiful capital of Tartarstan on the Volga. |
| Day 4: Yekaterinburg |
| We cross the Europe/Asia divide before arrival in Yekaterinburg, the capital of Urals. Our city tour includes the Romanov execution site and the Urals Mineralogical museum. |
| Day 5: Novosibirsk |
| We stop in this modern “Soviet” city where we see the famous Opera House, Lenin Square, and the River Ob, which flows 3,500 miles from its source to the Arctic |
| Day 6: Sayan Mountains and Abakan |
| As we head east you can relax as the Trans-Siberian Express climbs through the spectacular Sayan Mountains and, if time permits, pauses for a short visit in Abakan or Novokuznetzk. |
| Day 7: Bratsk |
| Overnight we run northwest to Taishet, where we join the BAM (Baikal – Amur Mainline), the new line that runs north of, and parallel to, the original Trans-Siberian. We spend several hours in city of Bratsk visiting one of the biggest hydroelectric dams in the world. |
| Day 8: Severomuysk, Severobalkalsk |
| Morning arrival in remote Severobaikalsk (North Baikal), where the road network is completely cut-off from the rest of the country. The BAM is a vital lifeline to this beautiful area and we have a full day to explore the unique biodiversity of life here, and meet some of the local inhabitants. |
| Day 9: On Board |
| In the morning we'll take the 15-km Severomuysk tunnel which became fully operational in 2003. Full day on the train running through beautiful, untouched and wild areas. |
| Day 10: Novaya Chara |
| We spend the whole day in this small place lost in Siberia. Charoite is a semi-precious lilac colored gemstone only found in the Chara area, and it is likely that traders will be at the station. We will visit an interesting small museum that covers the history of the area including the Marble Canyon Gulag. We will stop at the unique 6-km long Sand Dunes. It is a mystery how they came to be here but they have long been an important site for the indigenous people as artifacts from thousands of years ago have been found buried here. |
| Day 11: Tynda |
| Heading east, there will be a visit to the only city on the BAM route, Tynda, including a visit to a local BAM museum. |
| Day 12: On Board |
| Traveling through untouched tundra area; here, Siberia is at its most remote and beauty unfolds before us as we enter the region of permafrost. Vast distances and forbidding geographic and climatic conditions make the entire region a difficult environment for human existence. |
| Day 13: Komsomolsk Ns Amur |
| Our last full day on the train, we reach the most easterly point of the journey after visiting Komsomolsk; we turn south-west for the Pacific, crossing the river Amur at Khabarovsk. Farewell dinner on the train. |
| Day 14: Vladivostok |
| Morning arrival in Vladivostok at the end of the Trans-Siberian line. Our city tour includes the principal military attractions of this once “closed” Russian town. We transfer to the Hotel Hyundai for a one-night stay and our final farewell dinner. |
| Day 15: Vladivostok |
| Breakfast in the hotel with transfers being provided to the airport for departing international flights. |
