Calgary to Banff
Depart Calgary in the morning for a tour to the mountain resort of Banff. Highlights include the Cave and Basin Centre, Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoos. After a stop for lunch (not included), there will be time to visit the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies before check-in at your Banff accommodations. During the journey you will again experience dramatic changes in scenery, from the arid environment of the interior, to winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the rugged Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the rich green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River, and the fast-moving waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey concludes upon arrival in Vancouver during evening.
