Itinerary
Williams, Arizona
Today, you arrive Williams anytime after 3:00 pm to pick up your vouchers and check in at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel. This three-star hotel is owned and operated by the Railway. It features an indoor pool and spa, workout room and Spenser's Lounge, which has a 19th-century mahogany bar with a storied history.

Enjoy a complimentary dinner for your entire party at Max & Thelma's Restaurant as you spend your evening in rustic Williams. Take a stroll down Route 66, just two blocks south of the depot. Enjoy the fresh, mountain air because you're at 6,800 feet elevation.

Williams to Grand Canyon
Start out the day with an enjoyable buffet style breakfast at Max & Thelma's Restaurant. Keep your eyes open because the Cataract Creek Gang has been know to frequent the restaurant in the morning. After breakfast at, it's time for an old-fashioned showdown between the same Cataract Creek Gang and the Marshal. Be sure to check out the entertainment to the west of the train depot.

All aboard!, the train departs Williams for the Grand Canyon. You'll travel the same 65-mile rail line that passengers first did more than a century ago. Enjoy the scenery as the elevation changes during the 2 hour and 15 minute trip. You'll arrive to the South Rim.

Once you de-board, you'll have the option of taking a scenic motorcoach rim tour that includes lunch [Click here for more details]. If you opt not to take a rim tour, you have over three hours to explore historic Grand Canyon Village. Most of the buildings that grace the South Rim were built by the railroad, including the El Tovar Hotel, built in 1905. Along the rim, you'll find historic sites, places to eat and shop, and of course, some of the most breathtaking views you'll ever see.

Grand Canyon Railway departs the Grand Canyon Depot on its way back to Williams. Relax in the comfort of your train car after seeing the Grand Canyon. The train pulls back into Williams Depot This concludes the Railway Getaway package.

Please note: every room has two queen size beds and can accommodate up to 5 people per room. Accordingly, we will automatically book the number of rooms needed to keep you under the 5 person per room limit. Additionally, while every attempt will be made to accomodate you at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, alternate hotels may be used.
