Day 2: Anchorage to Kenai Peninsula
Head to the Kenai Peninsula via motorcoach for some unbelievable fishing, spectacular scenery and Alaska hospitality. The Kenai Peninsula offers some of the most famous, most intensely managed, fisheries in Alaska. While the mammoth King Salmon may be the most eagerly sought after fish, there are also bountiful runs of other salmon. Rivers and lakes are also teeming with Arctic Char, resident and sea-run Dolly Varden, and trophy Rainbow Trout. Pacific Halibut fishing is a must for any avid fisherman visiting the Kenai Peninsula. Travel by coach to Cooper Landing and enjoy dinner and spend the night at Kenai Riverside Lodge.
Day 3: Kenai Peninsula
Hike, go rafting, relax, view wildlife, or fish for trout as you explore the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and Chugach National Forest. At 5.6 million acres, the Chugach National Forest is the nation's second-largest national forest. Its mountains and immense rivers of ice cradle Prince William Sound in south-central Alaska, spreading from the Kenai Peninsula in the west to tiny Cordova and the nearby Copper River Delta—the largest contiguous wetland area on the U.S. West Coast—in the east. Nearly two million acres in size, Kenai National Wildlife Refuge is located within the Chugach National forest and is characterized by its diverse habitats and wildlife. Due to this variety, the Refuge is considered by many visitors to represent Alaska in miniature. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and lodging included.
Day 4: Kenai Peninsula to Seward
Enjoy a hearty breakfast, and then travel by coach to Seward for the Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise. Kenai Fjords National Park boasts abundant wildlife, alpine and tidewater glaciers, and the National Park Cruise provides an in-depth experience within pristine Kenai Fjords National Park.
