The Coastal Express RailsNW is happy to announce that we will be operating a very special one time excursion from Portland to Coos Bay on July 23th and 24th, over a scenic branch line which hasn't seen regular passenger service since 1953. The trip will begin in Portland then traverse the Willamette Valley before turning towards the Coast Range and Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. We will stop in Salem and Eugene to pick up passengers. Prices range from $295 per person for coach, to $425 per person for the rear observation car.
