Independent arrivals in Skagway, Alaska and hotel check-in. Welcome dinner starts at 7:00pm followed by an introduction to your escorts and railroad management plus an origination of our railfan event including a question and answer session. Then an interesting slide presentation on the history of the White Pass & Yukon Railroad will be given.
July 17 Friday: (B-L)
We depart Skagway with two charter trains. The group will ride on the diesel pulled passenger train and following a few minutes behind us will be the steam pulled freight train. All photo run-bys will feature both trains. If steam locomotive No. 69 is ready to roll then we will have a doubleheader. Today we will play with our two trains between Skagway, Alaska and Fraser, British Columbia.
July 18 Saturday: (B-L)
Today we have a steam pulled passenger train to use all day between Skagway and Fraser. If No. 69 is out of the shop then we will have a doubleheader.
July 19 Suday: (B-L)
We board our diesel charter in Skagway this morning and make a run all the way to Carcoss, Yukon making many photo run-bys today. We leave the train at Carcross and return to Skagway by charter motorcoach.
July 20 Monday: (B-L)
Our last charter train will be pulled by steam locomotive 73 and a passenger train consist from Skagway to Lake Bennet, British Columbia and return.
July 21 Tuesday:
Hotel check-out and independent departures.
