Rio Grande Durango Steam Spectacular

Thursday September 25: (L)
Charter mixed train with freight and passenger cars Durango to Silverton, Colorado. Lodging in Silverton included at the historic Grand Imperial Hotel. Passenger cars will be painted in the classic Rio Grande green from the 1940's. All rolling stock will be lettered for Rio Grande including the motive power. As a general rule we are able to make about 15 photo run-bys on the way to Silverton. Departure from Durango is planned for 7:30am. Lodging in Silverton included. There will be a night photo session in the Durango yards Wednesday September 24 in the evening.

Friday September 26: (L)
After several photo run-bys in the Silverton Valley before we head back south for Durango, again a good 15 or more photo run-bys will be offered to the railfan photographer. Arrival back in Durango is scheduled for 5:00pm.

NOTICE: This is a railfan adult photographic event. No children under the age of 13 allowed.
