Our train will depart from Portland's historic Union Station on Friday morning. A continental breakfast will be served on board as we head north, through western Washington’s lush landscape.

The Columbia River and Cowlitz Rivers are followed for miles before we enter the Puget Sound region. We will follow the scenic shores of the sound prior to brief stop in Tacoma. Upon leaving Tacoma we will soon turn east for the highlight of our route, an exclusive trip over Stampede Pass and through the Yakima River Canyon, a route not available by any scheduled train. Lunch will be served as we cross Washington’s Cascade mountains.

Upon arrival in Yakima transfers will take you to your lodging for the next two nights. Dinner is on your own as you explore this historic central Washington city.

Saturday - Yakima Tours

After your continental breakfast at your hotel, you will depart by motor coach for one of four tour experiences you have chosen. These are: a winery tour featuring three unique wineries, a float trip on the Yakima River, a scenic fall color circle tour featuring Mt. Rainier National Park’s spectacular eastside, or a tour of Toppenish, featuring it’s museums, murals and western flavor by horse drawn trolley. Lunch will be included with all tour options.
