Westbound Itinerary
Calgary Arrival
Arrive in vibrant Calgary and spend the rest of the day sightseeing in the “Stampede City” on your own. Admission to the Calgary Tower, where you will view the city and the Rocky Mountains in the distance, is included. Overnight in Calgary.

Calgary to Banff
Depart Calgary in the morning for a tour to Banff. Highlights include the Cave and Basin Centre, Banff Gondola, Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoos. The rest of the day is spent at your leisure to explore Banff on your own. Overnight in Banff

Banff to Lake Louise including Yoho National Park
A half-day tour takes you to Yoho National Park, where you will view some of the park’s natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. The tour ends at beautiful Lake Louise, and your afternoon is at leisure to enjoy this breathtaking location. Please note: arrival at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will be approximately 12:00 PM, and scheduled check-in time is not until 4:00 PM. In the event that your room is not ready, your luggage will be stored and you are free to enjoy the amenities of the hotel or a take a guided one-hour lakeshore stroll. Icefields Parkway Tour from Lake Louise to Jasper
Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Banff and Jasper National Parks via the Icefields Parkway. Among the highlights are Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Falls. The Columbia Icefield is one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle, in addition to being one of the most accessible in North America. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of Athabasca Glacier and learn more about its geological features. Time will be available for lunch (not included). Arrive in Jasper late this afternoon. Overnight in Jasper.

Jasper Sightseeing
Spend either your morning or afternoon touring Jasper by motorcoach. Attractions include Pyramid and Patricia Lakes, Maligne Canyon and Athabasca viewpoint. The remainder of the day is free to explore more of Jasper National Park on your own. Overnight in Jasper.


Jasper to Kamloops
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer® from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia. As you journey west and south you will find yourself surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Today's highlights include: Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet); Pyramid Falls; the climb over Yellowhead Pass; and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach your overnight destination of Kamloops.

Kamloops to Vancouver
Your trip continues west toward the Pacific and the vibrant coastal city of Vancouver. During the day’s journey you will see more dramatic changes in scenery, from the arid environment of the interior, to winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the rugged Coast and Cascade Mountains, and the rich green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail trip ends on arrival in Vancouver during the evening. Admission to the Vancouver Observation Deck at Harbour Centre, where you can experience spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean, is included today or tomorrow morning.
