Vancouver Arrival
Arrive in coastal Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own. Vancouver is a jewel of the Pacific Northwest and provides many opportunities for entertainment. Admission to the Vancouver Observation Deck at Harbour Centre is included, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean. Overnight in Vancouver.

Vancouver to Kamloops
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer® from Vancouver to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia. During the journey you will find dramatic changes in scenery, from the rich green fields of the Fraser River Valley, to forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the rugged Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the arid environment of the interior. Highlights include the fast-moving waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon, and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. The day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer® travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into your overnight destination, Kamloops. B, L.

Kamloops to Jasper
Your rail excursion continues north and east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the frontier province of Alberta. You will find yourself surrounded by dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains, climbing toward the high peaks of the Continental Divide. The day’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), Pyramid Falls, as well as the climb over the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park. Your journey ends upon arrival in the resort town of Jasper in the evening. Overnight in Jasper. B, L.

Icefields Parkway Tour from Jasper to Lake Louise
Transfer to beautiful Lake Louise via one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. A stop will be made at Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield. Here you will ride an Ice Explorer to the middle of Athabasca Glacier and learn more about its geological features. Your driver/guide will explain how glaciers are formed and point out some interesting geological features. Time will be available for lunch (not included). Afterwards, you’ll stop briefly at Bow Lake before arriving in Lake Louise in the afternoon. Overnight at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Yoho Tour, Lake Louise to Banff
A half-day tour takes you to Yoho National Park to view some of the park’s natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. At the end of the tour you will transfer to Banff. Overnight in Banff.

Please note: departure from The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will be approximately 1:30 PM, and scheduled check-out time is normally 11:00 AM. Your luggage will be stored on check-out and you are free to enjoy the amenities of the hotel or a guided one-hour lakeshore stroll before the tour departs.

Banff to Kamloops
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer® from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia. The journey provides a spectacular range of scenery as you travel between the high peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rugged lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. The day’s highlights include: the Continental Divide; the Spiral Tunnels, a remarkable feat of railroad engineering; Kicking Horse Canyon; Rogers Pass; Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven; and of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Kamloops to Vancouver
Your rail excursion continues west toward the Pacific and the coastal city of Vancouver. During the journey you will again find dramatic changes in scenery, from the arid environment of the interior, to winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the rugged Coast and Cascade Mountains, and the rich green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River, and the fast-moving waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your journey ends upon arrival in Vancouver during the evening. Overnight in Vancouver. B, L
