Vancouver Arrival
Arrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this cosmopolitan city on your own. Admission to the Vancouver Observation Deck at Harbour Centre, where you’ll experience spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean is included. Overnight in Vancouver.

Vancouver to Whistler
Travel aboard the Whistler Mountaineer® from the western city of Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler, famous for unparalleled skiing and year-round outdoor activities. Following your motorcoach transfer from downtown Vancouver, the Whistler Mountaineer® takes you on a spectacular rail journey through the remarkable scenery of this “Sea to Sky” region. Highlights of the trip include fantastic views across Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, Shannon Falls, Mount Garibaldi, and the impressive Cheakamus Canyon. Upon arrival at Whistler train station you will be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Whistler Village. Breakfast is served onboard.

Whistler to Quesnel
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer® from the all-season mountain resort of Whistler to the quaint rural town of Quesnel, the gateway to the North Cariboo. Enjoy breathtaking and diverse scenery, from the river canyons and rich farmland of the Pemberton Valley, to the arid conditions of the Fraser Canyon and the Cariboo Plateau with its rolling hills and vast ranchlands. Highlights include the shorelines of Anderson Lake and glacial-fed Seton Lake, and spectacular views of the Fraser Canyon and Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world. Your day ends as the Rocky Mountaineer® follows the banks of the Fraser River into Quesnel, your overnight destination.

Quesnel to Jasper
Your trip continues eastward to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. From Quesnel, the Rocky Mountaineer® follows the Fraser River north to the town of Prince George, then travels east through the wooded region of Northern British Columbia, home to abundant wildlife including a large population of moose. Entering the Rocky Mountain Trench you will be surrounded to the north by the steeply rising Rocky Mountains and to the south by the rugged Cariboo Mountains. Continue climbing past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), and through the Yellowhead Pass into the province of Alberta. Your rail journey ends upon arrival in your overnight destination of Jasper.

Jasper to Kamloops
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer® from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia. As you travel west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide, and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. The day’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass, and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach your overnight destination, Kamloops.

Kamloops to Vancouver
Your tri[p continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the cosmopolitan, coastal city of Vancouver. On the day’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the arid environment of the interior, through the winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the rich green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds of the Thompson River, and the fast-moving waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey concludes upon arrival in Vancouver in the evening. Admission to the Vancouver Observation Deck at Harbour Centre, where you’ll find spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean, is included during the day or the following morning.
