Vancouver Arrival
Arrive in vibrant, coastal Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own. Overnight in Vancouver.

Vancouver to Kamloops
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer® from Vancouver to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia. During the journey you will experience dramatic changes in scenery, from the rich green fields of the Fraser River Valley, to forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the rugged Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the arid environment of the interior. Highlights include the fast-moving waters of Hell’s Gate in Fraser Canyon, and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer® travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops.

Kamloops to Jasper
Your rail excursion continues north and east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the frontier province of Alberta. Once again you will find yourself surrounded by dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains, climbing toward the high peaks of the Continental Divide. The day’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), Pyramid Falls, as well as the climb over the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park. Your rail journey ends upon arrival in the resort town of Jasper in the evening. Overnight in Jasper.

Jasper Sightseeing
Tour Jasper by motorcoach in either the morning or the afternoon. Attractions include Pyramid and Patricia Lakes, Maligne Canyon and Athabasca viewpoint. The remainder of the day is yours to explore more of Jasper National Park on your own. Overnight in Jasper.

Jasper to Lake Louise
Travel to Lake Louise on one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. Stop at Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield. Here you will ride an Ice Explorer to the middle of Athabasca Glacier and learn more about its geological features. Your driver/guide will explain how glaciers are formed and point out some interesting geological features. Time will be available for lunch (not included), then you’ll stop briefly at Bow Lake before arriving in beautiful Lake Louise during the afternoon. Overnight at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Free Day in Lake Louise
Enjoy a free day in Lake Louise at your leisure. Stroll beside the lake or enjoy an afternoon paddle in a canoe. Overnight at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Lake Louise to Banff
A half-day tour takes you to Yoho National Park to view some of the park’s natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. At the end of the tour transfer to Banff. Overnight in Banff. Please note: departure from The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will be approximately 1:30 PM, and scheduled check-out time is normally 11:00 AM. Your luggage will be stored on check-out and you are free to enjoy the amenities of the hotel before the tour departs.

Banff Sightseeing
Enjoy a three-hour motorcoach sightseeing tour of Banff in the morning. Among the highlights are visits to Bow Falls, the Banff Gondola, the Cave and Basin Centre, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. The rest of the day is yours to spend at your leisure in Banff. Overnight in Banff.

Banff to Kamloops
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer® from Banff to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia. Your journey offers a spectacular range of scenery as you travel between the high peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. The day’s highlights include: the Continental Divide; the Spiral Tunnels; Kicking Horse Canyon; Rogers Pass; Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven; and of course, the glaciers and snowcapped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Kamloops.

Kamloops to Vancouver
Your rail excursion continues westward toward the Pacific and the coastal city of Vancouver. During the journey you will again experience dramatic changes in scenery, from the arid environment of the interior, to winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the rugged Coast and Cascade Mountains, and the rich green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River, and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey concludes upon arrival in Vancouver in the evening. Overnight in Vancouver.
