Detailed day by day information
Royal Fly Fishing Adventure - Map
Calgary
Upon your arrival in the stampede city of Calgary, your chauffeur will meet you at the Calgary International Airport and take you to the landmark Fairmont Palliser Hotel, where you will check into an exclusive Gold Level room. You are invited to a private reception in the Canadian Pacific Railway Pavilion; afterward, enjoy dinner in the Rimrock Dining Room. Overnight in Calgary.

Calgary to Cowley
After a deluxe continental breakfast, your fishing guide takes you to the Lower Bow River, southeast of Calgary, home to huge brown and rainbow trout. After a half day of fishing, board the train at 3:00PM and travel south as you savor a glorious meal prepared by our talented chefs. Overnight on the train in Cowley.

Cowley to Crowsnest Pass
The adventure continues with fishing on the Old Man River, at the foot of the Porcupine Hills. Later in the afternoon, the train journeys to Crowsnest Pass for an overnight stop beside beautiful Summit Lake.

Crowsnest Pass to Summit Lake
As you fish the rivers of Crowsnest, our guides introduce you to the wild rainbow, cutthroat, and bull trout that thrive in this spectacular Rocky Mountain setting. Guests enjoy dinner onboard and we once again spend the night on the train at Crowsnest Pass, next to Summit Lake.

Summit Lake to Golden
The morning begins with a short trip to Elk River. Guests disembark at Fernie to board drift boats for a guided float on calm river waters. Return to the train and enjoy signature service as the train heads north through the picturesque Columbia River Valley. Guests spend the night on the train at Golden.

Golden to Calgary
The day is spent at your leisure as the train travels east into Yoho National Park, through the famous Spiral Tunnels and beautiful Banff National Park. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as the train travels along Kicking Horse River, across the great Continental Divide, and follows the Upper Bow River. After a leisurely brunch, arrive at the Canadian Pacific Railway Pavilion in the early afternoon. A chauffeur returns you to the Calgary International Airport where your vacation ends.
