Tenterden Vineyard
Your Journey
Detailed information
Tenterden Vineyard, which encompasses 25 acres of vines planted on south-facing slopes, is the home of English Wines plc, who make wines under the Chapel Down brand. Chapel Down is rapidly establishing itself as a world class premium wine brand and is the first ever English producer to win a gold medal for sparkling wine at the prestigious International Wine Challenge.

Brunch with Bellini is served on the outward journey. On arrival at Headcorn station, there will be a coach transfer to the Vineyard (about 20 minutes). After a guided tour of the vineyards and winery, you can enjoy a tasting of English wines and cheeses. There will be time to walk in the Herb Garden and Vineyards and browse in the Wine and Fine Food Store before the coach departs to rejoin the train at Ashford for the journey back to London. A glass of chilled champagne is served as soon as you board the train, followed by a delicious four-course meal accompanied by half a bottle of wine.

Rail News & Updates

The Orient-Express
The British Pullman takes its name from George Mortimer Pullman, an American, who in 1864 built The Pioneer, the first railway carriage designed with true comfort for the passenger. The later creation of the Pullman Car Company in 1882 led to his domination of luxury train travel in Britain from that time onwards.
