El Paso to Chihuahua
Arrive at the El Paso airport and you are introduced to your Mexican Guide and travel by private car or van into Mexico as you pass over the vast expanse of the Chihuahua Desert. The scenery is a mix of dunes, mesquite and irrigated farm land; the Sierra Madre Mountains create a beautiful backdrop.
Arriving in Chihuahua, you are shown the sights of this historic city: the magnificent Cathedral, the State Capital with its many storied murals, the former home of Pancho Villa, now a state museum, and the Old Spanish Aqueduct. Hotel San Francisco.
Chihuahua to El Fuerte
At 6:30 am you will be transferred to the airport where your private pilot and private light Cessna 182 will be waiting to take you on the most scenic flight in North America. You will enjoy an armchair view of this amazing system of canyons as you fly to the colonial town of El Fuerte for overnight. Hotel Posada del Hidalgo.
El Fuerte to Divisadero
This morning your taxi driver will transfer you to the train station. The train leaves at 9:05 am and arrives in Divisadero at approximately 2:35 pm. Upon arriving, transfer to Hotel Divisadero. Dinner included.
The views of the three Canyons that comprise Copper Canyon make Divisadero ("The Divide") an unforgettable stop on your trip across the mountains. This area is four times larger than the Grand Canyon and gives visitors many memorable vistas of this pristine mountain wilderness.
Divisadero to Creel
Use your free time this morning to interact with the Tarahumaras who sell their handicrafts near the hotel. After lunch, transfer to the train station. The train leaves Posada Barrancas at 2:35 pm and arrives in Creel at 4:50 pm. Upon arriving, transfer to the Hotel Best Western. Breakfast and lunch included.

Creel to Chihuahua
Today after breakfast your tour guide will meet you at the hotel and will take you back to Chihuahua. On our way we will see and sample the produce of this region at a hosted light lunch in a Gourmet Restaurant located in an apple farm near the city of Guerrero. Breakfast and lunch included.
Then we will visit Cuauhtemoc City to see a Mennonite farming community in this unlikely setting. Here in school, the children write and read low-German. Enjoy coffee, tea and cookies at a Mennonite home while you browse through displays of hand-craft Mennonite quilts and comforters. Hotel San Francisco.
Chihuahua to El Paso
Your private transfer takes you this morning back to El Paso airport for your return home. (Buses leave every hour beginning at 8:00am)
