Seattle Steamboat
Lake Union... through the locks, past Seattle and return
The Steamship Virginia V is the last of the famed Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet and one of only two boats of her type in the United States. With glowing wooden decks and sparkling white paint, the Virginia V at 83 years old is in the best shape she's been in since new. Today an excursion onboard the Virginia V captures the romance of the fabled days of the mosquito fleet era, evoking all the sights, sounds and feelings of when steam ship passage was a way of life throughout the Puget Sound.

We will depart from Lake Union and travel through the Ballard Locks. These locks allow boat travel between Lake Union, Lake Washington, and Puget Sound. Enjoy panoramic views as we smoothly cruise through the calm inland waters of the Northwest. Ride comfortably in the heated cabins or step outside and feel the breeze in your face. Watch the operation of an exposed 100+ year old steam engine as it quietly and safely propels the ship. After a fun day of cruising along the Puget Sound we will head back through the locks into Lake Union with afternoon lighting illuminating the water.

We are limited to 100 passengers on this fabulous trip. Bring the entire family and take the opportunity to experience a unique treasure!
