The Whitsundays & The Great Barrier Reef
Renowned around the world for its superb sailing waterways, the Whitsundays will dazzle the visitor with its rich blue sea and 74 tropical islands. It's a visual delight with aquamarine blue waterways merging with clear blue skies on a fine day. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest reef structure in the world and stretches over 2,000 kilometers. It can even be seen from the Moon! Protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, this area is larger than Great Britain and harbors 400 types of hard and soft coral, sea creatures, brightly colored fish and turtles, surrounding numerous exotic islands. The colored coral expanses just below the surface of the warm, crystal clear tropical waters are home to an unbelievable array of sea life.
