Itinerary

Williams
Check in at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, located adjacent to the train depot, anytime after 3pm. The hotel is owned and operated by the Railway and features an indoor pool and spa, workout room, and Spenser's Lounge. Enjoy dinner at Railway's own Grand Depot Café Restaurant (adjacent to the hotel and depot) as you spend your evening in Williams. Take a stroll down Route 66, just two blocks south of the depot.

Williams to Grand Canyon
Start your day with a buffet style breakfast at Grand Depot Café Restaurant. Afterwards, it's time for an old-fashioned Wild West Shootout between the Cataract Creek Gang and the Marshal. As you depart Williams for the Grand Canyon, you'll travel the same 65-mile rail line that passengers first traversed more than a century ago. Enjoy the scenery as the elevation changes during the 2 hour and 15 minute trip.

Once you de-board in the heard of historic Grand Canyon Village, your bags will be transferred to your hotel room at the Maswik Lodge. You'll then have approximately 27 hours to enjoy Grand Canyon National Park, where you’ll find many activities to choose from. Most of the buildings at the South Rim were built by the railroad, including the El Tovar Hotel  in 1905. Along the rim, you'll find historic sites, places to eat and shop, and of course, some of the most breathtaking views you'll ever see. Enjoy the peacefulness of the evening and a Grand Canyon sunset.

Grand Canyon to Williams
Enjoy a morning of leisure and sightseeing at the South Rim, then relax in the comfort of your train car as you return to Williams. Upon arrival at the Depot, walk a short distance to the Grand Depot Cafe for your second included dinner, and enjoy another comfortable evening at the Railway Hotel.

Williams to Cottonwood
Enjoy a final breakfast at Grand Depot Café, then drive yourself to Cottonwood (90 minutes). Check into the Best Western Cottonwood Inn anytime after 3:00 pm and enjoy a swim in the heated outdoor pool, relax in the hot tub, or take a leisurely stroll through downtown Cottonwood.

Cottonwood/Verde Canyon Railroad
After breakfast and a leisurely morning, head 10 minutes to the Verde Canyon Railroad in Clarkdale for a memorable journey through the spectacular Indian ruins, trestles, and wildlife habitat of the Verde Canyon.  After your journey on the railroad, hop over to the Blazin' M Wild West Adventure for a night of rip roaring entertainment and a hearty dinner. Later, return to Cottonwood for another restful night at the Best Western.

Cottonwood
After enjoying an expanded continental breakfast, check out of the hotel by 11 am.
