You’ll already be swapping stories with your new friends over breakfast this morning before acquiring a different perspective along the base of the spectacular Alaska Range as you re-board the McKinley Explorer to Denali National Park. With six million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is larger than Massachusetts. Located in the heart of Alaska’s magnificent and rugged interior, the park is home to majestic Mt. McKinley, North America’s highest mountain. The Park also features glaciers, a sub-arctic ecosystem and an internationally designated biosphere preserve with moose, caribou, Dall sheep, grizzly bears and wolves. Tonight you’ll be regaled with a sumptuous dinner and homespun entertainment at Cabin Nite Dinner Theater. Overnight in Denali. (B, D)

Travel some 60 miles into the wilderness of Denali National Park and the heart of bear country. On the fully-guided Denalli Tundra Wilderness Tour, you’ll get interpretation from your driver/guide, along with hours of wildlife spotting and spectacular scenery. If the weather cooperates, you’ll see Mount McKinley up close. The afternoon is yours to participate in some of the park’s complimentary activities or select from thrilling options such as a jet boat ride and helicopter flightseeing. Overnight in Denali. (B)

Day 5: Denali – Alyeska

Along the way you will stop for lunch on your own at beautiful Lake Lucille. At the end of your day, rest easy at the Alyeska Prince Resort, which boasts a four-diamond rating.
