Day 1
Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. Book an excursion, or explore shops, museums and restaurants at your leisure. Overnight in Anchorage.
Day 2
Take the Denali Star Train, the Alaska Railroad's flagship train with service to Denali National Park. Watch for views of Mount McKinley and keep an eye out for wildlife. Overnight in Denali.
Day 3
Travel into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour. Your guide will interpret the history, flora and fauna of the area as you travel the Park road. Overnight in Denali.
Day 4
The morning is at your leisure before traveling to Talkeetna on the Denali Star Train. Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.
Optional: add on a morning Denali excursion.
Day 5
In Talkeetna, a jetboat ride journeys 130 miles roundtrip into the heart of Devil's Gorge. Tour includes lunch. Later, return to Anchorage on the Denali Star Train. Overnight in Anchorage.
Day 6
Travel via the Glacier Discovery Train to Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop. Float among the icebergs at Spencer Glacier and down the Placer River. A short train ride to Portage follows the float tour, and a motorcoach transfer from Portage to Anchorage gets you back in time for dinner. Overnight in Anchorage.
