Itinerary
Detailed day by day information
Day 1: Anchorage
Upon arriving in beautiful Anchorage, we'll transport you to your hotel. Anchorage is a modern city surrounded by spectacular wilderness with adventures just steps from the hotel. Home to Alaska's largest selection of quality Alaska Native art and souvenirs such as finely crafted ivory, Native masks, and carved jade, there are many opportunities to shop and find that perfect souvenir. After you’ve shopped to your heart’s delight, sit down for a sumptuous meal. Anchorage has access to some of the freshest seafood in the world, which Alaska chefs offer up in a variety of mouth-watering creations; from plump, cold-water Kachemak Bay oysters, to Alaska king crab, fresh-caught halibut, and wild Alaska salmon – the staple of Alaska seafood, Anchorage has it all! And no sales tax! Overnight in Anchorage.

Day 2: Anchorage to Denali
Experience Alaska’s scenic treasures on the Denali Star Train from Anchorage to Denali. With six million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is larger than Massachusetts. Located in the heart of Alaska’s magnificent and rugged interior, the park is home to majestic Mt. McKinley, North America’s highest mountain. The Park also features glaciers, a sub-arctic ecosystem and an internationally designated biosphere preserve with moose, caribou, Dall sheep, grizzly bears and wolves. Stay the night in Denali and enjoy Alaska Cabin Nite dinner theater.

Day 3: Denali
Take time this morning to fully immerse yourself in Denali's wild charm before embarking on your Denali Backcountry Adventure. Travel the entire restricted road through Denali on this 11-hour tour. Overnight in Denali.

Day 4: Denali to Anchorage
Travel by rail from Denali to Anchorage on the Denali Star Train. Spend your evening relaxing or exploring the city. Overnight in Anchorage.

Day 5: Anchorage to Seward to Girdwood
Board the Coastal Classic Train traveling from Anchorage to Seward. In Kenai Fjords, glaciers, earthquakes, and ocean storms are the architects. Embark on the Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise, and then re-board the Coastal Classic Train for your trip to Girdwood. Stay at the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood.

Day 6: Girdwood to Anchorage
Board the Glacier Discovery Train and journey to Spencer Glacier. Float among the icebergs at Spencer Glacier and down the Placer River. A short train ride to Portage follows your float tour. Motorcoach transfer from Portage to Anchorage.
