Day 1: Anchorage
Arrive in vibrant, eclectic Anchorage and spend the night. Anchorage is a modern city surrounded by spectacular wilderness with adventures just steps from the hotel. Home to Alaska's largest selection of quality Alaska Native art and souvenirs such as finely crafted ivory, Native masks, and carved jade, there are many opportunities to shop and find that perfect souvenir. After you’ve shopped to your heart’s delight, sit down for a sumptuous meal. Anchorage has access to some of the freshest seafood in the world, which Alaska chefs offer up in a variety of mouth-watering creations; from plump, cold-water Kachemak Bay oysters, to Alaska king crab, fresh-caught halibut, and wild Alaska salmon – the staple of Alaska seafood, Anchorage has it all! And no sales tax!
Day 2: Anchorage to Denali
Board the Denali Star Train for your journey to Denali. With six million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is larger than Massachusetts. If the weather cooperates, you’ll see Mount McKinley up close. Afterward, fly around Mt. McKinley with Talkeetna Aero Services before landing in Talkeetna. Spend the night at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.
