Denali Backcountry Adventure
The Denali Backcountry Adventure is a full day narrated exploration along the Denali Park Road to Denali Backcountry Lodge in Kantishna, returning to the Denali Park entrance in the evening. This trip into Denali National Park travels the entire length of the restricted 95-mile Denali Park Road to Kantishna in our private bus. Our trained naturalist Guide/Driver provides natural history interpretation along the way, helping guests search for bears, moose, caribou and other wildlife while pointing out the biology and geology of the region. We stop along the way for photography and take several rest stops where guests can stretch their legs. Snacks, drinks and lunch are provided.
Lunch is served at exclusive Denali Backcountry Lodge in Kantishna. Dietary restrictions are accommodated with advance notice, and there is always a vegetarian option. Lunch consists of a sandwich bar, soups, fruits, snacks, fresh baked goods and drinks.
Activities in Kantishna with a trained guide are available after lunch. Try your luck at gold panning near the lodge, or take a guided nature walk to Fannie Quigley's historic pioneer cabin, which was recently restored by the National Park Service.
