Approximately 11 hours. From Anchorage, you’ll travel on deluxe motor coaches to Talkeetna. Once you arrive, enjoy leisurely time to walk around and visit the local shops. On a clear day, notice the beautiful panoramic views of the Alaska Range. After you have toured this historic town, the 51-passenger Talkeetna Queen will whisk you into the heart of the wilderness in comfort. Upon arriving at the safari site, you’ll take a quarter-mile leisurely hike. Visit an authentic trapper’s cabin with its original furnishings and learn how trappers lived in “bush” Alaska at the turn of the century. Your return to Anchorage is aboard the luxurious, fully domed McKinley Explorer railcars.
