General Information
Train Consist
Engine, crew car, 1 luggage car, 1 club car ar with 56 seats, 1 dining car with 48 seats, 4 luxury coach cars with 64 seats each.

Train Features
Individually designed cars inspired by Mayan and colonial cultures, fully air-conditioned, safety glass windows, ecological toilets with wastewater retention tanks, upholstery and carpets with flame retardant, non-toxic wiring fumes treatment, mechanical conditions according to USA standards, speaker system available in each car.

256 passengers

Crew
Train master, assistant train master, lecturer, mechanic, electrician, executive chef, two cooks, bar tenders, waiters and porters.

Food
Four course lunches with wine and buffet breakfast, coffee, bottled water, soft drinks and bar snacks included. Meals will be served on two seating times, choice of meat, chicken or fish for main course. Passengers will give their choices to their Train Master at their seats.

Bar Service
Deluxe Class: Porters will do rotating rounds to all seats. The club car bar will be open all the time. Drinks can also be ordered at the dinner car.

Store
Train collection and memorabilia store will operate on the train at the club-bar car and in the cafeteria car. Local information and quality goods from local industries will be sold.

Hotels
We have selected the best available hotels in town that can offer all the facilities and comfort that the Expreso Maya passenger is looking for. All hotels have at least: dining room, swimming pool, room with phone, private bath, A/C, TV with cable or antenna (except Chan Kah Palenque), limited handicapped facilities, etc.

Bus Transfers
Deluxe buses with panoramic windows, air-conditioned, speaker system and bathrooms will be used for all passengers. For smaller groups vans and/or suburban type vehicles will be provided.

Guides
One bilingual guide per bus (every 40 passengers) will be provided all the time in addition to a local guide at the ruins who will enrich the visit with detailed archaeological information. A lecturer will be on board the train giving specialized talks about Mayan architecture, astronomy, gastronomy and mathematics. Lectures will be held at the Entertainment Car and will be on the PA system throughout the train.
