Durango to Silverton
A brisk 5 block walk to the train station sets up your unforgettable trip on the Durango & Silverton Railroad. The "ALL ABOARD" call and two blows of the whistle signals the start of your journey. Over the next 3.5 hours you will be treated to spectacular mountain and canyon scenery. Upon arriving in Silverton you will have the afternoon and evening free to relax or partake in optional activities, such as 4WD touring, gold mine tours, horseback riding, or other fun activities. Just check with the hotel upon arriving. Overnight at the historic Grand Imperial Hotel in downtown Silverton.
